Our Worship
When you visit Babcock Presbyterian Church you will receive a warm welcome. Our worship is in the Reformed tradition. Within the classic beauty of our sanctuary, you’ll find inspiring music and worship leadership. We believe in thoughtful reflections on Scripture that are intended to carry you through the week. Each Sunday, we proclaim and celebrate the Good News of Jesus Christ and gather as an open community to worship God. Come as you are. At Babcock we hope you will find a place to believe, belong, and become.

Babcock Welcomes Children
This congregation welcomes children! We have planned for their care and spiritual encouragement. Each Sunday, we offer a time for them to grow in their faith and experience the thrill of exploration, activities, and Bible teachings. reschool children can remain in worship with an adult or go directly to the room of The Sparrows Nest, available 9:50 am to the end of worship. Elementary children are in worship for an initial period and leave as indicated in the bulletin. We value our children presence, trusting that in worship they are learning that:
- it is important to come to this place each Sunday;
- they belong with this special company of people;
- the sights, sounds and feel of the sanctuary experience is good, though not always understandable;
- something is expected of them in this place;
- they are invited to respond in song and prayer and offering;
- and there are rooms in the Education Wing that are special for them..
There Are Two Segments to Our Program
The Sparrow’s Nest
This program is for children not yet at the elementary school level. Their room is colorful, and designed for them with places to play, to sit and listen, tables with things to do, and the opportunity to explore and experience their faith. The Sparrow’s leader is Ms. Sari Addison. She has extensive experience with after-school programs for children. She is currently with the Baltimore County Public schools, fully vetted and working one-on-one with children. She is CPR and first aid trained.
The Carpenter’s Workshop
This program is for elementary level children. Their classroom has books, activities, music and opportunities to explore the faith. From time to time, the Carpenters serve as our worship leaders in Sunday worship. Generally, after being in worship for a period, they leave for their room.
