If you need help
Babcock’s Food Ministry is a community mission of help and support to persons and families. Our food distributions are offered twice monthly and include prepacked bags with healthy groceries like soups, peanut butter, jelly, tuna, and more. We also provide frozen meats, fresh vegetables and toiletries when available.
Quick Facts:
- 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month

Taylor Chapel is the small building located directly behind Babcock Church’s main building, located on the Loch Ness Road side of our grounds.
Parking is available in our main parking lot at the front of the church, and on-street parking is available on the Loch Raven Blvd. service drive in front of the church, on Loch Ness Road, and surrounding neighborhood streets.
Our Food Ministry History
In 2016, Babcock Church recognized the need for food assistance to residents of the neighborhoods surrounding our church. Our initial “Blessings Box” was set up near our parking lot in October 2016. In 2020, we added a food cabinet. Stocked by our local team of volunteers, they were heavily used by our community during the Covid pandemic period and beyond. Now we have moved to scheduled food distribution days. We partner with the Maryland Food Bank and since February 2024, we have provided approximately 56,000 pounds of food to our neighbors in need.
If you can help
If you are a neighbor looking to donate food, we thank you! You can leave non-perishables in the Blessings Boxes by the parking lot, in a designated cabinet by Taylor Chapel, or by contacting the church office (410-825-3314) if you have a larger amount to donate.
